Copper Butterfly Art, Cut Copper, Hardwood Frame 8.5"x7"

Cut Copper Butterfly with cut metal art mat, 4 3/4" butterfly is cut from 24 gauge copper sheet with a plasma torch. The copper is then cleaned, brushed, and the butterfly design is etched into the copper. The copper is then shaped and patinated. Copper wire antennae are soldered to the back. A matte clear coat is applied to protect the patina then it is mounted in the frame. The inner frame is cut from metal and painted to give a slight texture. The wood shadowbox frame is hand made from hardwood, stained, and clear coated with a matte finish for protection. 

Please note: Due to varying wood grain and coloring, frame finishes may be lighter or darker than in listing photos pictured. Metal tends to darken slightly with age even though clear coat has been applied. This is part of it's natural beauty. For indoor use only.
